"OWWWWW!!" he cried in excruciating pain.
Piccolo stood still. "C'mon, boys, I'm not even breaking a sweat!"
Without responding, the young men charged forward again. Piccolo blocked easily each attack. He axe kicked Zhen in the face and got Monroe with a spinning back kick. Zhen flipped over and sprung himself forward towards Piccolo, preparing his Tokken attack (Electric Body Charge). Monroe stopped in mid-flight and charged up.
Piccolo dodged out Zhen's attack and appeared behind Zhen again. He hammered Zhen with a flurry of attacks all over his body before delivering a final punch that sent him flying.
"DODONPA!!" Monroe yelled. He then blast one of his signature techniques toward Piccolo. Piccolo simply reflected the beam away.
"What the f-" before Monroe could finish he was surprised by a knee in the face that made fly back.
Piccolo stood. Both warriors were down, half unconscious. "Get up, try again."
"Oh, Piccolo, you really got me that time." Zhen said, then Monroe added, "Can we hold on for a second."
"Stop you're whining!!" Piccolo snapped. "You're worse than a little girl."
Piccolo was always harsh. This was already the first month since they first started training with Piccolo and it wasn't an easy month. The training has been rough from the very beginning and Piccolo was strict.
Monroe face turned red with embarrassment. "Mr. Piccolo, I don't really appr-"
"Shut up and attack!"
Monroe suddenly charging up and was about to attack, when Zhen suddenly said, "Wait, look!"
Piccolo and Monroe put decreased their power levels to see what Zhen was pointing at. Rhea came flying down.
"I see that you have finally woken up from your sleep." Piccolo said to the girl.
"Yes, it was a few days ago." she answered.
Zhen stood curious. Monroe opened up the conversation. "So, what are you doing here?"
"Dende told me you were here, getting training from Piccolo." she replied. "I just thought I could train with you too."
The three looked at each other. "Fine with me." Piccolo said. He turned to the young men. "What do you two think?"
Monroe answered. "Sure, why not? What do you say, Zhen?"
Zhen thought for a minute. "Whatever." he answered indifferently.
Rhea seemed hurt by Zhen response. "Well, welcome to the team." Piccolo said. "Well, I'll let you guys get a break now." Piccolo then walked to his cave.
"Well, I'll see you guys later. I'm getting something to eat."
Before Zhen could stop him, Monroe flew off. He stood uneasily for a minute and then said, "I guess I'll get going too."
"Zhen, wait!" Rhea called. She grabbed his arm. "I hate me now, but I eventually want to earn your trust back and maybe become your friend. Will you ever forgive me?"
Zhen turned to face her. "I don't know. It's going to be hard for me to trust you again. You are going to have to prove yourself."
With that, he flew off, leaving her alone.
