| Zhen chopped a table by the bed in anger. "THAT BITCH! We must find her!" "Obviously," commented Monroe nonchalantly. "We'll see if there are any witnesses that saw her leave last night." Zhen and Monroe went toward the front desk where the landlord always sat. "Excuse me, sir?" asked Monroe. "What you want?!" the landlord snapped back. "I was wondering if you have seen a girl leave the hotel last night?" "I see a lot of girls come and go, boy. You can't expect me to remember them all." The grumpy old guy was already irritating Zhen, but Monroe held him back. "Please, sir, I really need you to remember. You see, this girl took something from us and we need to-" "Listen, you dirty elf," the old landlord interrupted, "I already told you I don't know! So why don't you and your idiot friend go take a hike!" Zhen couldn't take it anymore. His temper ran out. He quickly reached over the counter and took the old man by the shirt, lifting him up like a rag doll. "Listen, punk, you already have tried my patience! Now tell me what I want to know or I'm going to break every bone in your body!" The landlord looked in fear. "Okay, okay, I'm sorry! Please don't hurt me! I'll tell you what you want!" "Did you see a blonde girl leave last night?" Zhen asked. "Oh, yeah, now that I think about it," the landlord said. "Was she young, really cute?" "That's her." "Yeah, I remember. She seemed to be in a hurry. She left around two o'clock last night." "Was she carrying anything with her?" Monroe asked. "Yeah, she seemed to be carrying a large bag with her. She just left without saying anything. That's all I know." "Okay, now I think you owe me and my friend an apology," Zhen said. "I'm really sorry," the landlord said. "Good." Zhen dropped the landlord. Zhen and Monroe turned back toward their room. "We don't have much to rely on," Monroe said. "We are just going to have to go out there and search for her, which might take a very long time. By then, she might leave the country." "Maybe not." Zhen said. He went to one of his bags and started searching for something. "What are you looking for?" Monroe asked. Zhen took out a something that looked like a clock or a compass. "This." "Of course, the Dragonball scouter!" Monroe said. The Dragonball scouter was a device that Sakoo gave them before they left to search for the other Dragonballs. "All we need to do is use the scouter to find our Dragonball. And also to find that bitch!" "Well, let's do it!" Monroe said. So Zhen and Monroe flew out to find the thief and their Dragonball. "Where are we going, Marron?" Marron and Rhea had left their hideout that day. Marron just woke her up and was very vague about what her plan was next. "Come, daughter, I have a mission for you," was all she said. They were now flying over the ocean. "You'll see, Rhea." Soon after they arrived in an island. They both landed and Marron said, "We will walk. We must hide our Ki to prevent from being detected." Detected by whom? Rhea thought. Where were they going? Rhea didn't want to question Marron. She just followed her. They arrived near a large mountain. "We will settle here, Rhea. We will wait until nightfall." Rhea thought it was now appropriate to ask Marron now. "Marron, what are we doing here?" Marron looked up to the mountain. "Daughter, right behind that mountain is the pathway that leads up to the lair where the great Guardian of the Earth, Dende, lives. And we are going up there tonight." Rhea was surprised, but confused. "What for, Marron?" "Because Dende has another Dragonball with him. And we are going to take it." |
