| Glossary: Blue Moon Season- When Vejita-sei's moon becomes ice blue, signaling that the two coldest months on Vejita-sei have started. ~At the estate of Bardock~ It was extremely early in the morning when Serenity managed to drag herself out of bed and take a shower. After, she went change out of her night clothes with consisted of a silky white dress with lace around the low neckline. She was thankful Bardock had remembered underwear as she slipped them up her legs and then pulled a dress over her head. When she checked her appearance in her huge body length mirror, she was quite pleased. The expensive material of the dress was lanky and thick, melding to every curve of her body. The bottom puffed out a bit around the ankle and the neckline was modestly low-cut with long sleeves that clung tightly to her arms. But the coloring was made the dress so delectable to Serenity, it was the coloring. The bottom was black and as it became to the skirt of the dress, there was a dark midnight blue. Then there was a light royal blue, then when it reached the neckline and sleeves it was dark teal. *Bardock may be a jerk, but he sure has good taste.* Serenity checked herself once more, she looked as if she were ready to go for a night on the town than do housework. But Serenity had looked through her drawers and closets and this had been one of the less extravagant things. She had marveled at the beautiful dresses made of silk and thick velvet and other expensive materials in her closet. Some of them had reminded her of the garments she had seen princesses wear in movies. Looking down at her tattered sandals, Serenity decided to go bare foot and ask Bardock for another pair later. Quickly running a brush through her hair, she ran down stairs to make breakfast. Serenity frowned at the selection she had to choose from in the refrigerator. *I have to ask Bardock if to bring to the store or something, I can't survive on just meat and vegetables.* Making breakfast wasn't hard, only baked meat with light seasoning and steamed vegetables was all it consisted of. After setting the table in the kitchen, she called everyone down for the morning meal, this time staying out of harm's way. As she expected, another stampede occurred with Bardock looking disappointed that she had learned from her mistake. After smiling at him in triumph, she spun around nimbly, making the skirt of her dress twirl around her bare feet swiftly and made her dramatic exit into the kitchen. Halfway through breakfast, Serenity wondered if putting on her act, as little as it may be, was such a good idea. She still had to ask Bardock about buying more food and it usually wasn't very smart to taunt someone when you want something later. And being a Sayian, he probably took everything personal. Swallowing the food in her mouth, she tried to bring it up subtly. "Do you like my cooking Bardock-san?" Bardock stopped shoving food in his mouth long enough to say. "How many times have I told you?! It's edible!" That was just what Serenity wanted to hear. "Well, since my food is "just edible", perhaps I should buy some other foods and see how you feel about those." Bardock quirked an eyebrow suspiciously, "This food is good enough. Besides, I stocked that refrigerator with enough food for an entire blue moon season, we don't need anymore." "I can't live off of meat and vegetables day in and day out!" "You'll manage.", Bardock stated. Serenity became irate, "All I'm asking for is a trip to some kind of market!" Bardock slammed his hand on the table, "You pull that haughty stunt in the main room and now you demand something from me!" "Stop being petty Bardock-san, you're just looking for an excuse not to take me!" "What if I am?! I don't see any point to it!" Radditz decided to jump in before things got uglier, "Just let her go to the market, Otousan. I'll take her the first few times." Bardock threw both his arms up in disbelief and addressed Radditz, "What is this, a debate?! Have you forgotten that she is a serving slave, not my mate, not your mother, and not the mistress of this house?!" Serenity's eyes burned with tears as Bardock named the things she would never have a chance to be. Serenity jumped up and tears streamed from her eyes. Suddenly she spat. "I know I will never get married to a loving man that would give me the world! I know that I will never have a chance to bear the children of my husband and give them the love and nurturing they deserve! I know I can never even hope to have some say in this damn house like I'm someone who matters!" Serenity's voice cracked and she became choked up with tears, but she continued. "I know all I will ever be to you and everyone else on this fucking planet is a dirty slave and an occasional whore! I don't need you to remind me of that every chance you get! I...I " When Serenity realized that she couldn't control her tears anymore she ran from the room and up the stairs, leaving behind an astonished group of three Saiyans and a guilty Bardock. Bardock stood outside Serenity's door and knocked gently. "Go away!" he heard Serenity scream. "I need to talk to you Serenity." "Do you want to apologize?", her voice sounded hopeful and doubtful at the same time. "Maybe.", Bardock said. The door cracked open and a large blue eye with some redness, which showed she had been crying, peeked out. "Really?", her voice was extremely soft and chibi-like and he heard the distorted hiccups that occurred after crying. Bardock nodded and Serenity backed away, letting him step in. Bardock knew what Serenity wanted to hear, but his Saiyan pride prevented him from doing so. So he settled for, "Offending you wasn't my intention, I was merely stating fact. I didn't mean for you to misinterpret it." Serenity wanted more than that, she wanted a plain out and out "I'm sorry". But she knew Bardock by now and she was extremely lucky she had gotten him to say what he had. "It's alright, but I still wish you would think about things before you say them." Bardock nodded again before saying, "I'll see what I can do about the market. I'll have to set an account with a couple thousand credits that you can use. And I'll make it usable wherever you need it." Serenity smiled. "Arigatou Bardock-san." He only half smiled and began to leave. "I'm going to the palace now." He looked over his shoulder, "I do work, you know." ~Later that night~ Serenity was in the sitting room with Turles and Kakarotto. Radditz was out with some girl by the name of Septhena and wouldn't be back until tomorrow presumably. The sitting room was a hunter green and dark blue color. The walls were made of white and light green marble and the floors were covered with a thick, fluffy hunter green carpet. Several large dark green sitting chairs and two huge dark blue couches were placed in the center of the room. An oversized fireplace was to the left of them and a beautiful glass table was placed in front of the couches for drinks and such. A wide flat screen was at the very front of the room almost taking up an entire wall. Turles sat on the carpet while Kakarotto lay on his belly. Serenity lay across the comfy blue couch and watched the program the boys were hollering at. Even lying completely stretched out, her body didn't take up all of the couch. Serenity was surprised the Saiyans had television, but it had nothing like Earth programs. It had the news, but it never had anything good to say. There were only updates on recent planet takeovers and murders of different officials on foreign planets. There were also a vast amount of fighting lesson channels while others were only gruesome fighting matches. They reminded Serenity of the gladiator games in ancient Rome on Earth. Fighters were pitted against each other for sport. Some when fair because both men had close fighting powers, while sometimes the other man would have a ridiculously low power level compared to his opponent and was killed ruthlessly. It didn't take long for Serenity to realize that aliens were the main participants and Saiyans only fought when it was certain they would win. This is what the three watching now. A human man in his mid 20's was thrown in the center of the arena and the crowd of hundreds of Saiyans hooted in anticipation of what was to come. A classic Saiyan with black hair, black eyes, and burly muscles. He looked as if he were in his late teens and was not battle scarred yet, however his eyes still held a predatory gleam. Serenity saw the man swallow nervously and the camera did a close-up on his perspiration soaked face. His eyes held a wild fear as the rules were stated. They were to fight to the death and no ki was to be used. They showed the young Saiyan when he cracked his knuckles and the confident look on his face never faltered. The ding of a bell was heard and the frightened human male turned to run. Before he could turn around, the Saiyan was on him with his hand around his throat. Serenity watched in horror as the man clawed at the hand that was depriving him of oxygen and kicked his feet weakly. This was a fight to the death, Serenity knew this and waited for the fight to end quickly. She gasped as the murderous Saiyan decided he wouldn't be so kind and began to break the poor man's ankles one by one. He had released enough pressure on the man's throat to allow his screams to carry throughout the arena and then he started on the man's wrists. Serenity looked on in disbelief as the Saiyan crowd roared in delight and winced at the bone cracking snap of the man's neck. The man hung like a broken rag doll in the Saiyan's hand and was tossed aside like it was nothing. Serenity scowled in anger as the ruthless boy had the nerve to look at his bloody hands in disgust. The bell sounded and the match was over. Turles and Kakarotto, who had been silent through the whole thing, jumped up and shouted with glee. Turles said, "Greckle is only arena fighter I like, he so quick and efficient." Turles's eyes looked dreamy. "That's the stuff warriors are made of." Kakarotto nodded, "I want to be just like him when I grow up." Serenity couldn't have been more disgusted at the current exchange. "You think that...that sicko is a champion?!" Both boys nodded. "Of course, the is the arena's finest." Serenity jaw dropped. "He's a murderer!" Turles stepped forward and bared his teeth. "No he's not! The other guy was weaker so he was killed for it!" "Weaker?! Of course he was weaker! He was human, just like me, how much of a chance do you think he had?!" Turles was quiet and then Kakarotto spoke up. "The match was fair, no ki was used." "That doesn't matter. Saiyans are probably physically stronger than most species without their ki. That wasn't a match that was a massacre, pure cold-blooded slaughter. Did it look like that man wanted to be there? No, he didn't, a fair match is where people agree to fight on equal terms." Serenity looked at Kakarotto and Turles intently, "Look at me, the both of you." When they both looked at her, she said, "You don't want to be like that killer. Don't let me hear you say how much you admire him, he's not worth being admired if he is so honorless as to torture a man before killing him. Understand?" Serenity saw them both nod, "Now, go to bed." Turles looked upset. "We're not tired yet." "Too bad." "You're not our mommy.", Kakarotto said sourly. Serenity put her hands on her hips and put a stern expression on her face. "No, I'm not your Okaasan. But when your Otousan and Radditz aren't here, I'm the boss and what I say goes." "You can't make us.", Turles chirped in an almost sing-song voice. Serenity scowled, she wasn't going to let them think they can walk all over her. "Both of you get to bed right now or I won't feed you for a week." Turles and Kakaroto gasped in horror, "Otousan wouldn't let you do that!" Serenity smiled, Bardock seemed like a strict disciplinarian and she decided to use that to her advantage. "Wouldn't he? It's either that or deal with him when he comes home." Both boys winced, they knew how cranky their Otousan could be when he came home. Turles tried to look unfazed. "Fine we're going, but not because you told us too, only because Otousan might have a fit." Serenity smiled and said, "Pleasant dream, boys", as they walked away. ~Even Later~ Kakarotto and Turles had long gone to bed and Serenity was still sitting on the big comfy couch flipping channels. Then Serenity gasped and her eyes widened as she stumbled onto an unwanted channel. *The Sayians have hentai?!* A young alien girl with teal hair and equally blue kin was literally humping a red-skinned man below her. His face showed an expression of the absolute ecstasy as his long black hair was plastered to his face with sweat. The female that was clearly two times smaller than his gigantic body held an expression she could not distinguish. Both were moaning loudly and the sound of flesh slapping filled the room. "Oh yes!", the girl screamed. Serenity felt an unfamiliar tinge between her legs as she watched the pair, but her excitement was quickly forgotten when she heard a voice. "I didn't know enjoyed such...entertainment." Serenity swallowed hard. "I...I...I didn't mean to. It was an accident." "Really? Then why is it still on?" Serenity looked at the television and watched the man grit his teeth in pure restraint while whispering, "So damn tight." She began to fumble with the remote control, but only managed to turn down the volume in the dim light. Her hand shook so hard she dropped the remote and her face turned redder than a beet in embarrassment. "Calm down, don't give yourself a heart attack." Slipping out of the shadows, Bardock came to sit next to Serenity and crossed his arms in his usual manner. "I know it was a mistake.", he said quietly. "How long have you been there?", Serenity asked almost afraid of the answer. "Long enough." Serenity looked at her lap in silence, neither spoke nor looked at one another. "Who are they?", she asked softly. Bardock tilted his head as he watched the couple silently climax, "The men are just slaves from conquered worlds and the women are also slaves or rejects from the Ou's harem. When he grows tired of them or the harem becomes to full, he picks his least favorites and hands them over to this network." "That's horrible!" Bardock shrugged, "A slave's job is his job and technically I don't feel responsible because I don't add to the ratings." "Do all Saiyans watch this?" "Most do, it's actually a regular pastime. They enjoy it as much as a good sparring match. You'll be surprised how many women watch this stuff." By now the previous couple were long gone and they were replaced by two women. A tall woman with pale ivory skin, white hair, and pointed ears began kissing a human girl with long black hair and dark brown eyes. Her violet eyes met the girls brown ones as began to rub their smallish breasts against one another. Bardock reached over turned the screen off before Serenity asked, "Are there any Saiyans on this network?" Bardock made a noise of disgust. "Whether they be weak or strong, no Saiyan would be caught dead in such a display. The networks would never allow us to degrade our Saiyan pride." Serenity became angry. "But you don't mind degrading others to uphold that pride, do you?!" Bardock looked at Serenity in fury. "Listen girl, this fantasy you have about a free Vejita-sei will never happen, ever! No matter how you feel about the "inappropriate" use of slaves, the universe still goes on and no cares what you think! The weaker serve the stronger, survival of the fittest, this is how every Saiyan was raised including me! So don't try to change what can't be destroyed!" Bardock's voice grew softer, "If it's not here than it on some other planet, you will never win." By now Serenity was in tears, "I don't understand this place. On Earth we have laws to protect the weaker and here you literally take steps to weed them out. It's simply barbaric." Serenity threw herself at Bardock and began to cry into his armor. He just sat there in silence as she emptied her frustration, her anger, and her fear. Bardock understood that she was lost and afraid, unable to find a place in this new world. Bardock leaned comfortably back on the couch and made no move to remove Serenity or embrace her as she cried her heart out to him. |
