~Somewhere in space~

Serenity shivered from the coolness of the metal room. It was small with walls made of shiny metal and Serenity wrinkled her nose at the metallic smell. A small cot with a thin sheet was in the far corner and to her far left was a small toilet. Jax had left her there with the promise of food and water shortly. Sitting on the floor hugging herself, Serenity wondered why they put her in this place.
*It's much better than that cell, but what's gonna happen? Am I just gonna stay here for an entire week? I'll go nuts!* Serenity sighed sadly, *I'm being selfish, what about Rei? Poor Rei having to put up with that monster. Good Kami, what if their Ou is worse? I can't live like that, I'll die first.* A whimper escaped her mouth, just before the heavy, metal door swung open.
Jax walked in with two small metal bowls; one in his right hand and the other in his left. "Still crying, weakling bitch? Good, the Ou likes it when they cry. That way you won't have any tears left when he gets through with you. Maybe if you're lucky, he'll kill you the first night." Jax laughed darkly at his own joke and kicked the bowls over to Serenity. She began to choke on the tears that she was trying to suppress and only heard Jax leave. Her eyes were too blurred with tears to see her hand in front of her face.
*He was worse than his soldiers. And from the look of things, much, much, worse. How could this happen to me?* she asked herself for the billionth time. Hunger snapped her out of thoughts and reminded her she would collapse without any food. Crawling towards the bowls, she looked into each. In the food bowl, there were white, mashed up grains with small bits of meat. Experimentally, she dipped a finger in and carefully tasted it. *You know, this doesn't taste all that bad.* In her water bowl, the water was warm, yet clean. She instantly felt bad for the girls in her cell. Certainly sickness would spread like wild fire and infect everyone.
*Those poor things. Are they going to be fed three times a day? Kami, so many are going to become so sick and possibly die. I hope Rei has better food than they do. If she got sick... I couldn't live with her.* Realizing she was still starving, she dug in.

~In the palace of Vejitasei~
"And that's the whole story." Celipa had just finished telling Panboukin and Totepo about she and Bardock's breakup (she left out the part about Toma because she still unsure how she felt about him).  Celipa had come to them before about problems with their relationship, but this time it was officially over. The two warriors knew this day would come, but there was no way they could prepare themselves for Celipa's wrath. The trio was in a lounge like room, where tired warriors came to drink and talk. Celipa sat across from Totepo, while Panboukin sat to her left.
Celipa began to shout, "Can you believe it?! I gave him the best damn years of my life and all of a sudden, POW! Out of the clear blue, Vejitasei sky, that lowly, son of a bitch hits me with this! He's such a fucking asshole!"
Totepo sighed, " Well, it wasn't exactly out of the clear blue sky, Celipa. This whole thing with you and Bardock was really unstable. Look on the bright side, you're better off. You don't have to live an unnecessary lie anymore."
Panboukin tried to lighten the mood, "And just think Celipa you're a free woman now. You can have any man you want. Just give it some time; you'll have men falling all over you in no time. I bet..."
Celipa slammed her drink on the table, spilling it everywhere. She angrily said through gritted teeth, "Cut the shit! You're just trying to cheer me up and it won't work, so just shut the hell up! For once would you guys be serious?!" Celipa closed her eyes and then slowly opened them. They were full of unshed tears and personal anguish. "You all know no one wants me. I'm going to die a lonely, old woman you guys. I love kids you know. I hoped to have at least one in my lifetime." She forced herself to swallow the cold lump in her throat. A Saiyan caught crying was subjected to months of teasing and humiliation. With Celipa's current situation, she wasn't sure she could live it down.
*Damn it. Why is it that every guy I open up to screws me over?* The sight of Celipa almost in tears, cut them both to the very core. They loved her like a sister and valued her more than their own mothers and fathers. However, they both shifted in their seats uncomfortably. Neither was used to dealing with this kind of situation at hand. Sure, she had come to them before after she and Bardock got into fight, but she had never been this upset before. And with a room full of Saiyans there wasn't much comforting they could do.
Panboukin turned toward Celipa and leaned toward her. Whispering he said, "Look Celipa, Bardock has been a good friend of mine since I can remember. I trust him with my life and everything I own. I know he would never intentionally hurt you, so I can't say I want to kill him or anything. If Bardock broke up with you, it must have been for a good reason. But trust me, things will get better. You're the strongest woman I know, I'm sure you'll make it. You'll have all types of Saiyan men bowing before you, just give it time."
Totepo had always been the quiet one and was completely silent when Panboukin spoke.  When he finished, Totepo added, "Toma loves you. We were going to tell you, but..." Celipa held her hand up and signaled for him to stop.
"Bardock already told me." Celipa began to shake her head. "No, I've already had my fair share of the male race. Besides, I'm not interested in becoming one of Toma's ex girlfriends."
Totepo leaned across the table and said; "Now that's not fair Celipa. You know he was looking for his one and only."
Becoming irritated she replied, "I know that and I'm sure I'm not her. Why waste these last few good years of my life on hope." Both could see there was no changing Celipa's mood, so they decided to change the subject. Panboukin spoke first.
"Celipa did you know we're in charge of the new slave shipment coming in next week? I requested a mate, did you Totepo?"
"Yeah, but one thing that pisses me off is the tons of paperwork."
Celipa's eyes grew wide, "What?! You mean that Chikyuu slave shipment?" Panboukin nodded his head.
" You looked pretty pissed so..."
Celipa growled, "Don't you realize I'm going to have to pull an all-nighter just to catch up? Shit, I'm going to be buried in papers. Damn it, now I'm going to be here all fucking night!" Celipa gave them a quick goodbye and flew out of the room in a split second.

In Chapter 7, Celipa finds out something very interesting and tempers flare.
