"What have you learned of the beasts condition?" inquires an officer
present in the science lab. The man can be seen seated on the top of the
counter, while his legs dangle below.
T'Pesh says, "I have learned that Lt. Phillip's behavioral patterns
may be attributed to his current hormonal state."
There is a low whisper in the room, from behind the first counter,
"T'Peeessssh." and then silence again.
"Would assume so," the officer responds, "In his state I would
assume he's much more powerful. That kinda stuff corrupts the mind."
T'Pesh looks around for a few moments then toward the first counter.
"Problems?" inquires the officer seated atop the last counter.
T'Pesh turns toward the officer then shakes her head. "there are
no problems." she retorts then says, "Have you accessed the report I published
this morning yet?"
The voice returns, but this time there is not just a voice, but
also a visage. For a few seconds someone can be seen moving across the
front of the room, stating as he goes, "What has kept you from me."
"No, I have not had the time," responds the officer.
T'Pesh turns toward the front of the room and looks around, her
eyes darting sharply in an attempt to follow the the someone moving across
the front of the room.
"What are you looking at, Lieutenant?" the officer responds, he
too looking in the same general direction.
Just as suddenly as the figure appears, it disappears.
T'Pesh says, "Yes?" she replies with out turning back to face the
officer. Instead she continues looking toward the front of the room, examining
as if investigating for something. She slowly begins to approach the area
still looking around."
The figure once again appears, this time behind the officer whose
now standing. The figure, now indentifiably Vulcan by his ears, walks in
the same pattern as he did in the front of the room. "Over here," the voice
whispers. The voice sounds as if it's being said twice, less than a second
delay.
"Wasn't a yes or no question, Lieutenant," the officer responds,
while looking at T'Pesh.
T'Pesh turns very quickly and looks toward the officer. Her eyes
looking past him toward something behind him. She doesn't respond to him
instead she attempts to investigate the figure.
This time the figure appears behind the Vulcan princess. He speaks
of nothing, but his actions tell the story. The Vulcan lightly presses
his back against T'Pesh's own, his elbows to her's. He tilts his head forward,
simply feeling her body warmth, while his own is ice cold.
"Wake up," the officer murmurs, "Didn't know Vulcan's sleep walked."
T'Pesh lifts her head slightly and focus her eyes toward the officer
then says, "I speculate that you are unable to sense the presence that
is in this room based on your current actions." She closes her eyes and
attempts to reach out to the other Vulcan with her mind.
"Presence?" responds the officer, "Been drinking, Lieutenant?"
T'Pesh does not respond to the officer but she continues reaching
out with her mind searching for some sort of contact with the presence.
There is no attempt to reciprocate the reaching out mind bit with
T'Pesh, instead the presense simply dissipates into a cloud of dusts and
then reappears, face to face this time. "It has been some time, T'Pesh,"
the voice speaks out as he moves an ice cold finger down the woman's nose
and onto her lips, tracing the contours present.
T'Pesh blinks and raises both eye brows as her eyes open, a look
not common to a Vulcan under normal circumstances. "Who are you?" she asks
a subtle quiver to her voice as she attempts to maintain her composure.
"I'll leave you and your... presence alone, Lieutenant," the officer
responds, "Personally I think you may have just a little bit too much to
drink. Get some rest," he adds in while leaving the sliding doors.
T'Pesh closes her eyes for a moment then opens them again. "Is
there a presence in this room?" she asks.
There is no response from the Vulcan standing before her. Instead
he simply draws his face a bit closer, his exhalations are ice cold, much
like his touch. The expression on his face is a solemn one. Slowly he moves
his finger away from her lips and onto his sides. He makes no other move
other than to stare down into her eyes.
T'Pesh examines the figure before her and steps back away from
it. "What do you want from me? and why is it that only I am able to see
you?" she asks it.
"I want you" the figure finally responds. Slowly he lifts his left
hand and places it on her warm cheeks. As he draws his hand away, he begins
to lean forward, parting his lips ever so slightly. But before he even
is able to touch this princess cheek with his lip, his body dissipates.
T'Pesh raises her hand to her face and for a moment is unable to
regulate her emotional response. A look of fear crosses her for but a second.
She closes her eyes and draws in a deep breath as she exhales her stoic
composure returns. |
