Intrastation transport is provided by the existing Cardassian turbolift system. This primary lift reaches all thirty four levels of the station core -- upper core, mid-core, and lower core, the habitat ring, and the docking ports located at the pylons. The turbo cab is made of a combination of framing beams and skin panels surrounding the internal motor systems. The occupied area is open to the turboshaft, due partly to mass considerations and parly to emergency escape opportunities; most shaft access doors can be opened from inside.

You are at the point where a crossover bridge attaches to the mid-core of the station. The corridors of the bridges leading to the docking rings are each about 500 meters long. At their far ends are multiple docks and access points leading into the pylons of the docking ring, obscured by security checkpoints and customs.

Circular in design, the northern main floor of the famous Deep Space Nine promenade is almost always occupied with dozens of various races, lingering, talking, and window-shopping. Lights and advertisements flicker, a few security officers watch over the crowd, and various kiosks are set up in the center of the main floor. Along the outer edge are three notable locations: station security, the Bajoran temple, and the infirmary. Taking up all of the inner section of the northern main floor is Quark's Bar, the stations largest recreation establishment.

The primary medical care facility aboard Deep Space Nine is the infirmary. Consiting of a collection of rooms along arc one of the promenade, the entrance to the infirmary is set in the pedestrian walkway. The main sections of the infirmary are the surgical suite, diagnostic and research center, and medical intensive-care ward. The entrance allows access to the set of the round rooms that are connected and not separated by doors. Upon entry, one is standing in the diagnostic and research center, while the adjoining surgical suite is visible. A door leads to the intensive-care ward.
