Guitar Sessions

Like the Nile her body curves
Slender and sleek
Pressed against my belly
She quivers
Her sound bittersweet
One look, she does not stop
It was with my touch that she calms
Fingertips entwined to the string

At my tickle, she laughed
Stubborn as a weed
Noise is all that is produced
Try doing it gently
Caress that soothes
One more until we are one
Breath in sync
Pulse in tune
Heart in harmony
Finally, a song

sitting on the park

This poem was originally intended for my creative writing class. This is actually the revised version of it. My grandmother knew that I was so fond of guitars so she gave me one when I turned 18. I am learning really slow though, that's why I was inspired to write. I thought of it as the best representation of me while I sit down and try to play some songs.
