Here I am with my wife, at the premiere of my composition YAWAHR, which was commissiond to me by QPAC (Queensland Performing Arts Complex) in year 2000.
My task was to write an original piece of work in collaboration with David Page.
"YAWAHR", from one of the many Aboriginal dialects, when translated, stands for "River Song."
It was a work, which was meant to depict from Aboriginal perspective, the invasion of the Australian shores by the English colonies.
This work will also be performed in the year 2002, at the Australian Music Festival, in Brisbane.
