The band was originally formed by Cody, Tim and Pano back in March, 2002. Cody and Tim had been playing together for a while at the time. Pano had seen Cody playing at Ida Price's Annual Talent Show, and after the show told him that he played guitar and that they should jam sometime. So when it came that time,  Cody reccomended that Tim play bass. They also started with the now bassist from The Disgruntled, Andrew Reiger on guitar. Andrew was introduced through a friend of the band.Things didn't work out with Andrew, so he quit. So the band went on as a three-peice instrumental group called aKoustio NeeDo!
. About a month-and-a-half later Cody brought Derek Fletcher to jam one session, Derek Fletcher started jamming with the band after that, and after a few practices, he was in. The band kept practicing and writing music all through the summer. About three months after Derek had joined, they changed the name to 'Rebels Without a Car', another one of Pano's awesome ideas.
The band almost broke up at the beginning of the schoolyear; Derek and Tim went off to Branham, and Pano and Cody went to Leigh. The band stopped practicing for a while, due to marching band, football, and conficts between the members, which almost added up to the breakup. But they got over it, and seriously got into the music. Before then, they had only had a few songs, and were doing mostly covers from bands like Green Day, Nirvana, Kiss, and Staind.
The band started writing some great music, which led to thier desperate search for a singer, which lasted until early December.
Finally, Derek had convinced former 'Phobia' singer, Jack Nelson to come watch them at jam a session. After the first couple of songs, Jack agreed to join. They have written a few songs since then and feel better than ever. With a new singer came a new name,   A Nomatic End.
