Münster Weinachtsfest
The Münster Christmas festival isn't the largest one in Germany, but it's the largest within a one-hour drive from Hengelo. There are numerous booths filled with Christmas crafts, gifts, hot snacks, pastries, beer (LOTS of beer!), hot wine, and an unusual hot beverage known as eierpunsch.

The lights in the windows of these buildings made a nice backdrop for the festival. |

Grand church overlooking a corner of the festival. I apologize for the lack of information on this church. It was getting a bit dark and it was very cold, so we were more interested in finding the hot wine than looking for information. I can tell you that it sits in Central Münster. |

Yes, it's quite large, so it's hard to miss. |

Since it was becoming dark, the camera didn't capture the detail/colors as well as I'd hoped. |

Another lovely church behind the bus stop we were standing at. I liked the busses in Münster-- they lowered when the doors were opened and rose when the bus was in motion. Also, there were signs that displayed which street the bus was approaching. |
