| April 1, 2004 Ok ok..I have totally sucked about getting updates on the journal. SUE ME!! hee hee just kidding..don't sue me..I have no money and well how will my child survive if you take all I have..THAT'S RIGHT! Kris and I are FINALLY REALLY TRULLY PREGNANT!! After several attempts and sadly failures, on December 6, 2003 we concieved and are currently waiting to find out the sex of the baby. I was placed on immedete bed rest from January 5 until March 29, 2004. I did have a few complications during my first trimester - bleeding, hormone fluctuations, etc, but all is great and all looks good. I will dedicate a whole page to the ultrasounds and pictures and stuff. I will also try to periodically remember to update this journal so that there will not be huge like half year gaps between entrees! :) |
| May 5, 2004 Well it is Cinco de Mayo and any other year before, I would be going out with friends and would be throwing back margaritas and cervazas! But not this year!! The only thing I will be throwing back will be the TUMS to quench all the heartburn I will get from all Mexican food I will be scarfing down! HAHA Nothing really new here except that we finally agreed on a name. It is probably about 95% certain that we will be naming her this ... Miss Kiersten Finley Carlson. We have started to already call her this in utero and are trying to help our families learn how to CORRECTLY pronounce her name. More than likely those who cannot pronounce it will find a nickname to call her. Kris is soooooo excited and cannot wait to be able to read bed time stories to his little girl. Thou Kris does have one fear, that the next two children we have will also be girls and then he will be TOTALLY SURROUNDED BY WOMEN!!! heeheee..luckily Dexter is a male dog and any additional dogs we get will probably also be males so at least Kris will have some testosterone partners in the house! haahaa |
| June/July 16, 2004 Well we are headed for final streach. Currently I am almost 34 weeks (on Sat.). Yep 6 weeks or less..thou I swear she has dropped down into my pelvis so it may be less! Kris is completely convinced she will be earlier than originally thought. I am starting to agree but yet it makes me excited and scared at the same time!! I have had my office baby shower and it was totally unexpected and it was wonderful. Got some great things too! My family one is on July 25 and my friends on is on August 7, lets just hope I can make it till then! The nursery is coming along great. New paint, new carpet...well new carpet in the room, they ran out of carpet and had to order more for the closet! But it looks great. Kris picked all the colors and I must say he did an excellent job. Will try to get up pictures soon. I am so tired all the time and my legs, feet and hands are swelling up and hurt all the time!! Hopefully on Saturday I can finally start moving in furniture to her room and start decorating. Great news thou, I finally got a new car!! Kris my ever wonderful and dashing and extremely handsome husband bought me a 2005 Ford Escape XLT (that the middle line). It is great and it has a 6 cd changer in it! I have been old schooling it with old Primus, Pearl Jam, etc cds! I feel like a high school senior with a new car! heehee Well hopefully the next entry will be all about the birth and our first few days with our beautiful daughter and all the funny little incidents and hopefully we will have a digital camera so that I can instantly update photos! |
