Biography:
A student at Jyounan University with an IQ of 600. Also Hongo excels at sports as well as motorcycle racing. Hongo lost his parents when he was a student.
While training on his motorcycle he was abducted by Spider-Man. Hongo regained his consciousness a week later in a Shocker base. There he learned that he was being made into an Altered-Human (kaizo-ningen) and was to be Shockers greatest warrior. However with the help of Professor Midorikawa he escaped before his brain was altered.
To follow Shockers other plans Hongo left Japan to Ichimongi Hayato (Rider No. 2) and left the country. He then continued fighting through Europe and Africa, returning several times to fight Shinigami Hakase.
At one point Hongo purposefully got captured by Shinigami Hakase to go under the table again. By means of self-hypnosis he was able to stay conscious through the alteration and escaped before the brain alteration again.
Soon after he went to South America to assist Rider No. 2 in his battles and finally returned to Japan to defeat Gelshocker.
After the destruction of Gelshocker Rider No. 1 and No. 2 assisted Maksed Rider V3 in his battles. However they sacrificed themselves to save Japan from the Deathtron monster Kame-Bazooka. Together they took the monster over the Pacific Ocean and exploded.
However later it was discovered that they managed to survive and reached Australia.
Transformation Process
Masked Rider uses the power of the wind to fight. To transform Rider speeds on his bike and leaps into the air, creating wind-pressure against his belt. The pressure spins the wheel in the center of his belt which then activates the micro-nuclear engine and allows him to transform.
The old Rider did not have a shout or a pose when he transforms.
Rider, Henshin!
Hongo shouts Rider, Henshin! (Rider, Transform!) and throws his right arm at a diagonal to his right then rotates it clock-wise until its a diagonal to his left, then he retracts it to his waist and thrusts out his left arm at a diagonal to his right. After that pose Hongo leaps into the air where the wind-pressure activates his transformation.
