| About Star Pieces |
| There are Stars all over the Mushroom Kingdom! The story of Paper Mario is based around Stars, as well. Star Spirits, Shooting Star Summit, the Star Rod, Starborn Valley, lots of these 5-cornered shiney objects around you! There are pieces of the golden Stars on land, not just the heavens. They are glittering, yellow diamonds (kin'da look like the yellow gems you collect in Merina's world of Mischief Makers!). These are valluable. Collect these on your way! There are 160 of 'em. Lots of ways to earn them, too! Most Star Pieces are found in the ground. (???) There are hidden chambers in the ground that are covered by pannels that can be flipped. You cant do anything with the chambers, but if you do find a pannel, use your Hammer or Jump Spin on it to recieve a Star Piece. You can find these tiles by hitting the ground and looking to see if there is any movement near by. You can get a Badge called the I Spy Badge that beeps everytime you enter an area with a hidden Star Piece. Lots of people give you Star Pieces for doing tasks for them, kind of like money. You get 'em for delivering some letters, and many from Koopa Koot. Chuck Quizmo gives you a Star Piece every time you answer a question correctly. He gives you 64 in all. Look for him in villages and towns. Hmmm... Actually, if you really think about it, you don't really get to use these Star Pieces for much. All 160 of 'em go to Meriow's Shop. Yes, those 15 little Badges all cost a sum of 160 Star Pieces... |
