| During your adventure, you wonder across the land controling Mario, of course! Mario may be bold, strong and corageous, but he is but one little plummer. It's a big world out there. Lots of places to go, things to accomplish. Mario will come across places he can't cross without help! Do not lose hope, San Mario! You have many friends of different races to help you! As you go through many worlds, you become pretty popular, not to mention everyone has heard of Mario's hero-reputation. Mario recieves much assistence, but 8 of these helpful folk actually come along to join you on your quest to rescue Peach Hime and the Star Rod! These spunky companions join you for different reasons, but it comes to your benefit. The party members are Goombario (race; Goomba) of Goomba Village, Kooper (race; Koopa) of Koopa Village, Bombette (race; Bom-omb) of Koopa Village, Parakarry (race; Paratroopa) of...Mt. Rugged I guess, Lady Bow (race; Boo) Princess of Boos' Mantion, Watt (race; ...emmm, I don't know!) of...Shy Guy Toy Box, Sushie (race; Cheep-Cheep) of Yoshi's Village and Lakilester nicknamed Spike (race; Lakituu) of Flower Fields. They can be used during Battle and out in the field, so to speak. They add new fighting techniques and inable you go journey to new horizons. Sushie can swim you across water, Parakarry flies you over ledges and gaps, Spike floats over lava and moves you around faster. More info. in Party Member profiles.
