KAMAKURA BED and BREAKFAST
2008 Cherry Blossoms

These pages are devoted to the
various beautiful blossoms of Kamakura of all seasons opening
with this Sakura Season 2008!

Our home is within 5-15 minutes walking distance respectively of these
interesting flowering temples:

Jomyoji Temple, with tree peony,
and the lovely Garden Terrace restaurant and natural bakery.
Hokokuji Temple with Sakura, Japanese quince/rose. and the famous Bamboo Forest.
Zuisenji Temple - beauty itself with mitsumata (paperbush) and weeping Wisteria trees.

On the road to our house the path displays abundant cherry trees with blossoms bending over the river.

In springtime the neighborhood is filled with large Camellia trees and a variety of fruit trees in blossom.  We are very fortunate to have at our front gate an unusual coral-red blossom ornamental peach tree.

It is a 15 minute walk to Kamakura's
popular Komachi Dori shopping st.
with cherry trees in the center of the street leading up to the entrance to (Tsurugaoka) Hachimangu Shrine.

In addition to the Japanese cultural
sights, the beach is just 20 minutes south of Kamakura stn where surfing, sunbathiing and simply walking in the sand awaits.
