YAFRay Experience - HDRI + HemiLight
According to Yafray's document. We can use HemiLight with HDRI backgrounds to get fast & realistic lighting simulations for compositing into a real scene. Here is what I did to test it.
The scene I used here is a F1 model with 30% of reflection

This image had no light in it but the HDRI background! All you can see is the reflection from the HDRI background. I rendered this image for just comparison.

The image here was used a constant white background and HemiLight enabled. You can see a nice overall diffused light. And the reflections make the image believable!

As Yafray's document said: If you omit the color tag altogether, the hemilight will sample the render background if available. Here is the image with HemiLight and HDRI Background. So the diffused Light was controlled by the HDRI Background.

Actually, I found that the color tag in HemiLight give it a refinement control with HDRI Background. Here I add a Mid-White(Light Grey) to control the overall diffused light.
