Step 5: Insert your images

Images or graphics will make your web page look very professional and fun! If you only use text on your web site, it will look very drab.

The easiest way to get graphics is to use ones that are already on the web. You should only copy images or graphics from other sites with permission and you should always give the original site credit for the image on your site.

If you are interested in creating your own images or graphics for you web site, there are many special software programs that you can buy such as Paintshop Pro 8 and Paint. Or you can draw images and then scan them into the computer to use on your web site. I used images on my site. I made the penguin and the banner. The penguin I scanned in, and the banner I made using Paintshop Pro 8.

To insert images from another web site, you can use a tag like this. <img src=http://www.geocities.com/kam1271993/penguin> This is what I would use with my penguin when I want him to appear.
