Kalyn's
Shelties
General Information
** I have owned Shelties just about all my life .  I have owned and/or shown 5 Champions in the time I have been breeding and showing Shelties. When I was a kid I had a couple different breeds which I also showed but always came back to the only breed, the Sheltie or Shetland Sheepdog as they are known. They are the best! Turned my attention to showing Paint horses for about 16 years, but always had a companion Sheltie to go along with me.  (See Raider's page).
** I screen potential buyers carefully and hope you are not offended by the questions you may be asked. You are more than welcome to ask me any questions as well. I reserve the right to refuse a sale to anyone as well.
** Whether you are looking for a show prospect, performance prospect or a companion, buying one of my dogs is not something that should be done on a whim.
** Research the breed(s) of your choice and contact several breeders of each breed and ask questions that will help you in making the right decision for you and your family situation.
** Your dog will be with you for a long time and your Sheltie should be raised and treated  as part of the family and live in the house and share in the activities.
** I sell any companion/pet puppies on a spay/neuter aggreement as well as AKC limited registration. Since I feel only the best specimens should be bred by experienced people, all pet puppy buyers are required to spay/neuter their puppies before 10 months of age. After the procedure is done, you will send me a copy of the spay/neuter certificate from your vet. Then I will send you the papers so you can register your puppy with AKC, if not already done so. My kennel name "Kalyn's" is required to  be used in naming the puppy with AKC.
** A dog is forever not just for Christmas, or any other holiday. But if for any reason you can't keep the dog you purchased from me, I will take the dog back anytime, and/or help you find a new home for him/her.
** A general health guarantee is given with each puppy sold from 48 hrs. from when the puppy is placed in your possession. It's recommended that you have your vet check the puppy over within that time slot. The puppy normally comes with at least one set of vaccinations and two wormings. Depending on the age of the pup/dog, it may vary, but you will receive all information pertaining to your puppy. If your vet finds the pup to have a communicable disease within that time slot, then a replacement puppy will be given at the discrestion of the seller/breeder and when one is available.
** Show contracts vary with each individual and will be made to fit each situation.
** I am available to answer any questions you may have and will help with any solutions to any problems you may have with your new puppy or dog.
** These are the basics of what my contracts say, if you would like to see a copy of the actual contract, you may email me for a copy.
