Poetry
Promises A
promise to protect left unfulfilled, A
desire to love that has been killed. Burning
pain quenched by drowning tears, darkness
ensuing unleashing fear. Memories
of the past drift through the mind, of
times long ago when there was peace to find. Childhood
promises of friendship and devotion, forever shattered by a careless motion.
Pain A
touch of fire and burning cold, the
pain intensifies murdering the soul. It
twists and contorts the mind to it’s will, making
everything sad and unfulfilled. Innocence
lost and purity raped, life
ever changed, enclosed in a cape. Light
shines above, so far above, darkness
overcomes, this day the last, tomorrow
the soul shall rest it’s time has come to pass.
Memories of the Past I
see only pain, I
see only death. The
only way I live, is
through everlasting torment. A
light in my way, only
obscures the path, to
my everlasting pain, my memories of the past.
