What's with the Burger King pokeball?

This is a picture of the pokeballs distributed by Burger King.

A lot of hype has been going around about the pokeballs that Burger King distributed in their Burger King Kid's Meals. The pokeballs served as containers for one of 57 pokemon toys. I am fortunate to have one of these toys myself.

Burger King has recently ordered a recall on these pokeballs. You can go here to the Burger King web site, or here to read about the actual recall, but before you do plese read this:

Apparently, there have been some injuries and deaths pertaining to half of the pokeball. Somehow it gets stuck on the faces of young children between newborn and 3 years of age. This is the reason for the recall according to Burger King, there is even a commercial about it.

I, however, will not be turning in MY pokeball to Burger King. Why? Well, the answer is very simple. The accidents that are related to the pokeball are not the cause of the pokeball itself, but by the negligence of the parents!

Think about this for a second...the package on the pokeballs when you get them says "ages 3 and up" and therefore, a child younger than 3 should never EVER have a pokeball in their possession. Secondly, the pokeballs would never get stuck on their faces if the parents were watching their children in the first place. Lastly, never EVER leave any sort of hazardous object in the cribs of your children where they may roll over and be sufficated or injured by them. This means thick blankets, large stuffed animals, and plastic toys of any kind should not be in the crib with your child.

The incidents with the pokeballs are tragic, and I fully agree that the recall of the pokeballs is a good idea, but I only agree because it will keep negligent parents from hurting their young children.

If you have a pokeball in your home and you have a young child, I would urge you to pay careful attention to where the pokeball is at all times, and please, keep it away from your young children!

Please send this web page to everyone you know, and maybe the truth will come out about what, or who is to blame for this horrible accident.
