The Italian Greyhound is essentially a greyhound in miniature, ideally 13-15" (weight aprox 10-15 lbs). These little sighthounds (dogs that hunt by sight) make wonderful companions in the right home. They are NOT recommended for households with young and/or rough children or large dogs. Living with an Italian Greyhound is like living with a 5 yr old child, they delight in wrapping you around their paw and are sweet enough to usually get away with it. Therefore, they make excellent substitute children. They can be difficult to house-train so patience is a define requirement and being sighthounds you never want to leave an Italian Greyhound off leash in an unenclosed area. They are an active breed, love to run and most are 'selectively' deaf (i.e. they hear you when they choose to).

And tnis is just a small sampling of our many Italian Greyhound champions.
Kalon's motto has always been Quality NOT quantity. Few litters are bred each year and health testing/screening is done. Therefore, puppies or adults are not always available and pet quality dogs are altered (spay/neutered) before leaving Kalon. I have also been very active with IGCA Rescue over these many years.
