| KALON's American Hairless Terriers |
| The American Hairless Terrier (AHT): The American Hairless Terrier first appeared in 1972. A dog named Jospehine was born into a litter of medium size of Rat Terriers. She was hairless with silky pink and black skin. She was the foundation of a breed that would become know as the American Hairless Terrier or AHT for short. In January 2004 the AHT was officially and fully recognized by the United Kennel Club (UKC). Today there are over 400 purebred AHTs and the breed is quickly finding admirers and supporters around the world. The AHT is different from other hairless breeds (Chinese Crested, Xoloitzcuintle, etc) as they are totally hairless (except for whiskers and eyebrows) and they have full, strong dentition. AHTs are loving, intelligent companions. Many people with allergies have found the AHT to be the ideal pet for their household. |
