**Since Geocities is closing, this website will be moved to www.wolfewebscaping.com/personal/POTO.**
I will be updating the new website over the next week (07/24-07/31/09), so that by then end of July, it will be completely moved. Sorry folks! At a later point in time, I may break down and buy a domain for all this great information. Ciao for now!!

Welcome to my lair! This web site provides information about my favourite show The Phantom of the Opera as well as my favourite instrument, the piano.

Here you'll find information about the story of Erik and Christine, the novelist Gaston Leroux, the Paris Opera House, photographs of the original cast, and links to great Phantom of the Opera pages and information. If you have seen the show, then you'll recognise the pictures. If not...you have GOT to see it! It's awesome!

A little History...

1925 - The year the first movie adaptation of The Phantom of the Opera as a silent film by Universal Pictures with Lon Chaney as The Phantom.

The stage musical has since become the largest grossing show in the world, playing in over 100 cities and 17 countries, and won 7 Tony awards. It still plays on Broadway, where it opened only one year after premiering.
1989 - "Freddy's" turn - Robert Englund portrayed The Phantom in the horror film version of The Phantom of the Opera.

"Director Joel Schumacher's sumptuous film adaptation will take audiences beyond the boundaries of theatre and immerses them in a vibrant world of high romance, soaring music, riveting suspense and drama." - Francisca Hu, Warner Bros. Pictures

Gerard Butler portrays The Phantom with Emmy Rossum portraying Christine Daäe and Patrick Wilson as Raoul in the movie screen edition of The Phantom of the Opera. Many Phantom fans will be watching and comparing their performances to Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman, the original cast members. The Official Phantom of the Opera Movie site has more information about the movie, photos, clips, screensavers, buddy icons and many more items associated with the new movie. Warner Bros. Pictures will be sponsoring some contests and awarding winners with official movie posters, so keep posted!
