As explained earlier Kallarackal is the root family of Kallarackal Kadavil Family. There are so many other banches, also have offshoot from this family. During AD 1700 one predecesor Vareeth, of the Kallarackal Family, has establised the Kallarackal Kadavil Family. Traditionally it is believed that our forefathers were converted to Christianity from an ancient Nambuthiri family named Kallarackal in the Pallippuram Desom, by St. Thomas the Apostle of Jesus Christ during the period AD 52. At that time Pallippuram Desom was included in the extended Kokkamangalam village area.
For over the time span of 1962 years, so many branches and sub-branches have off shoot from this Christian Kallarackal Family. Many branches have migrated to different parts in Kerala, to other states in India and also to different countries in the world in general. Many branches or sub-branches have adopted the root family name along with their family name but some others have adopted a different name which has no mention or connection with the root family name.
Now there are more than a 300 branches or sub-branches to the Kallarackal Family, Pallippuram all over the places.
