Mind's Eye

By Kali Gargoyle

A mind is a terrible thing to waste,
And I have never been wasteful in my life.
So many don't know the endless potential of the mind.
They only know the limits and boundaries that cause them strife.

My mind is open, my mind is free.
Others don't see the world the way I do.
They don't know what I know, they can't.
To know the world, its color's true.

I am alone, for no one knows what I know,
But I love my unique view of the world.
People may look down on me,
Yet I do not change, not for the world.

I replay the past, present, and future,
Behind my eyes, all the time.
Hundreds of things, all separate, yet connected,
They flow and ebb like tides.

I think differently,
And to some, that's a crime.
But in my mind's eye I see
Someone who uses her mind.
