Wyvern Gargoyles

By Kali Gargoyle

***

I watch in anticipation the setting sun,
Hoping it will awaken you, my love.
Everyday, when the day is done,
I wish to the sky and the stars above
One day, when the magic’s gone and fell,
I’ll be able to hold you in my arms.
When you break free of your shell,
I’ll spend the night sensing your charms,
Bound by no earthly powers, we fly.
Past the cliffs, out over the sea.
Once the castle rises past the clouds up high
And Fate’s cruel taunts will finally let us be.
But until then, I’ll sit upon these castle walls,
Waiting in the rooms, and walking down the halls.
