Penguin Dream Story Translation

2nd Release: 08/18/99

This archive contains 2 versions of the version 2 patch (eh?):

Pengv2.ips: use this to patch the original, unaltered japanese rom.
Pdirtyv2.ips: use this to patch a rom that has already been altered by
          my first patch.

Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes:

- changed font, using many of toma's fonts as inspiration.
     thanks to toma for making his great font collection publically
     available (http://blitznine.simplenet.com/kitchenutensil/)
- changed fitness meter
- changed blurbs in how-to demo before first world begins
- fixed the doughnuts that fly at you in the airplane levels.  By the
     way, those "flying pastries," as I called them in the last
     release, were rice balls (duh)
- "phone booth" looks a little nicer, in my opinion
- as far as I am concerned, the translation aspect of this remake 
     can now be considered complete; I have nothing more to add to
     it.  However, open it up with a hex editor, and you will see that
     there is a load of text stored in this game that either goes
     unused, or perhaps is used in parts of the game I have been unable
     to access.
     
1st Release:

All of the essential text has been translated and
adjusted when appropriate.  There is still work to be
done; this is not a complete translation.

A few graphic changes have been made:

1) Flying pastries have been changed to be recognizable
	as doughnuts.
2) Title screen includes "Penguin Dreams."
3) Game logo to the right of the "fitness meter" has
	been changed to the completely inaccurate
	"translation," "Hurry, Penta!"
4) Captain Pooh's ship's sail now shows a picture of
	Ginji's face rather than the spelling of his
	name.  It's a tad too high on the sail, however.
5) The character that appears when Penta hits an enemy
	has been changed to an exclamation point (!).
	The character that appears when Penta "shoots"
	has remained unchanged (I like the looks of it.)
	Think of it as "Pow!"
6) "Crunch . . . Mmm" now appears for what I took to be
	the Japanese equivalent in the opening sequence.
	This looks pretty lousy, so I'll eventually
	change it.
