Hello!
My name is Kaleb Joseph Forgues & I am
9 months old! I live with my Mommy, Anne, &
my Daddy, Jayson, in Phoenix, Arizona.
I was born on Friday, April 19th, 2002 at
Desert Samaritan Hospital in Mesa, AZ.
My Mommy was due to have me on the 18th of April,
but I held out until the 19th. It was
just better for me. On the morning of the 18th, my Mommy went
for a 2 mile walk with my Nana & my Great-Nana Gallant. At around
4:30pm, I started 'knocking' on her tummy to let her know that I
wanted out! My Mommy started having contractions that got closer
& closer as the night went on. At around 9pm, my Daddy helped
to time the contractions for about 2 1/2 hours & then we all
woke up my Nana & Great-Nana to let them know that we were going to
go to the hospital. My Nana didn't think that I was ready to come
out yet though, since my Mommy was walking around & felt okay.
We got to the hospital at around 12:20am on April 19th and the
nurse confirmed that my Mommy was about 6cm dilated. So, we
all got checked into a really nice room and I made steady progress on
making my debut! At about 5:45am, my Mommy started pushing to
help me come out. I was born at 6:40am! My Mommy's doctor put
me right on my Mommy so I could say 'hi' to her, my Daddy and my Nana.
I was having a hard time breathing because of all that liquid,
so the nurses took me onto a warming table across the room to help
me get that yucky liquid out & get some oxygen in! After that, I sure
started to holler! They then measured me & I was 19 inches long
(allot smaller than everyone thought I would be) & I weighted 6lbs, 13ozs
(the same exact weight as my Mommy weighted when she was born!).
Everyone is so happy to have me here. I can't believe how loved I am.
I'm a very lucky little boy. I live in Phoenix, AZ right now, but
my Mommy & Daddy want to move to Maine so we all can be closer
to my Nana, Grandpa, Auntie Kay, Taunte Dee & Uncle Joe. Not to
mention all of my Mommy & Daddy's cousins, aunts, uncles, and my
great-grandmothers and my great-grandfather!
Whew! I'll have a-lot of family to see when we move back!
Right now, I enjoy looking at my Daddy's fish tank, pulling my kitty-cat,
Riley's, fur, & trying to lick my puppy-dog, Maji, back (she gives me
lots of kisses). My favorite toy is a little brown puppy dog (yes, the
one that's in the picture above). His name is 'Puppy' and my
Mommy's 8 year-old cousin, Emily, gave it to me right before I turned
3 months old. My favorite TV show is when there is an
Arizona Diamondbacks baseball game on, or RugRats on Nickelodeon.
My Mommy & Daddy are giving me lots of new foods to try & so
far I haven't found one I don't like! Food is really yummy,
especially when I smear it all over my face!
