Game 1: CTF on GimbleThis is an old favorite of FFAers everywhere. This game was plagued by lag, but it was still a great one. Good arching by RARR put them in an advantage against San-Kuan, but puss by San did RARR in, as dwarves and melee took them over. Leif's skilled arching allowed Feti to easily defeat AF, but their small group was decimated by San-Kuan near the end. Poorly shot fire arrows from TN actually killed half of Drizzt's archers due to lag, but good play by Drizzt, a poorly executed rush by TN, and lag gave Drizzt the advantage he needed to fend off TN and take the win.
Game 2: Assassin on Toil
Many teams' lack of knowledge about the Changelings and Shades was their weakness. A poorly planned rush vs. AF at the beginning of the game by TN was their demise. Fire quickly used its Dream on Drizzt, then Drizzt countered with his own, but neither Dream did much damage outside of archers. San's rush killed Drizzt, but at great cost; San-Kuan had but two dwarves and their Shade at the end of the fight. RARR, after losing their archers to Torin's Dream, cast a dream of their own, which managed to eliminate Feti, with the help of Feti's satchel charges. RARR then came to kill San-Kuan's diminished forces easily with their melee, but AF cleaned up RARR's forces as the last team standing. However, RARR won the game, having two kills before San.
Game 3: Territories on Phoenix Rising
Legendary, guys! The reason why I wanted it Legendary was so there would be more flags and a greater challenge, but I guess we're not replaying it now… ok. TN decimated Feti early on with good arching and even better dwarfing. Good tactics and good luck allowed Drizzt, San-Kuan, and RARR to conserve their forces until the end of the game. Unfortunately, Drizzt was cornered at the end of the game and could only keep one flag, but the more spread-out force of RARR enabled them to edge out the victory over San. *At this point, Feti was eliminated*
Game 4: STB on Spiderweb
RARR got the mid start, and, like most teams do, they blew the ball in between Drizzt and TN. Drizzt lodged the ball next to a tree, and spiders and berserks sort of just ran around it for a while. TN got cornered between Drizzt and AF, and they had no choice but to get totalled by AF. Eventually the ball came loose, and RARR took this opportunity to run away with the ball. It would have been pretty humorous to see them win like that, but right before time ran out the other teams caught up. AF ended up with the win, with RARR finishing second.
*Another team would have been eliminated at this point, but the two lowest teams were tied, so a tiebreaker was played*Game 5 (tiebreaker): LMOTH on Spiderweb
The first six minutes of this game are marked by small skirmishes and lots of camping. However, the sudden death was pretty long, and in it there was tons of great melee fighting and only one survivor: All in the Family.
*At this point, TN was eliminated*Game 6: LMOTH on Venice (Dark)
Archer heroes really tear shit up, especially if you get seven of them. RARR's archers really put a hurting on Drizzt, as San-Kuan and AF mostly camped away from the action. The ending was fairly anti-climactic, as AF's force chased away RARR's smaller force, with no one else near the flag, giving AF the win.
