When my lids are lulled into a soothing sleep
flapping their wings dreams enter -
Galloping thoughts move in a pace
that make me laugh and murmur !
Now ! I do have dreams !
But they don't come flapping their wings !
Dreams of shattered feelings -
dreams forgotten during childhood days !
Panting for breath I wake up !
Questing thirst with gallons of water
to slowly get back to my normal self -
When the dreams set into sleep -
Morning rays of sun peep -
Once again for a better day -
Awakening myself, I start for the day !

A Lullaby

Cradled in my rocking limbs
let sleep makes you rest in peace !
Slowly and slowly your breath sets in
and slides into a deep, deep sleep !
Dreams usher their way into the heart - and
Cherishing thoughts engulf its core
Colorful wings flapping its way
Takes you into the Land of Dreams!
Flirting butterflies sing those melodies
linking the inner soul to a land of peace !
Perfumed dreams with the fragrance of Love
Keeps me awake all through the sleep!
Unknowingly I stretch my arms to hold yours!
The unknown bond that linked us together
Must exist for 'FOREVER' -
Together we would sing the song of Love
Felt and cherished in the World of Love!
