Training Plans

- For the training plans, Hills should be ~182m long, Long Hills ~548m, 10k pace is your 10k race pace (~6min/km), and your training pace is 10k pace + 1min/km (~7min/km)

Training Runs
- CCAB Track @ 21 Evans Road every Thursday at 7:00 pm
- Toa Payoh Stadium every Saturday at 7:00 am
- McRitchie Reservoir every Saturday at 7:30 am (from Oct - Nov)

Training Tips
- Get good running shoes.
- Join up with your buddies! It's much more fun!
- Avoid concrete/sidewalks... it's better to run on asphalt.
- Run during the week (e.g. 5km on Tuesday and Thursday), and do long walks during the weekend (10km on Sunday).
- Don't increase total miles by more than 10% per week.

Before the Race
- Don't eat the 3-4 hours before the race. Maybe just have a banana for breakfast.
- Drink a lot.

During the Race
- Pace yourself... go too fast early on and you'll end up walking the rest of the way.
- Drink a lot.

After the Race
- Drink a lot.
