This is another poem by Faeriecatz.
I'm honored to be able to have it here.
THE REQUEST
Sing to me the story of the whippoorwhill.
Sing to me the song of the dragonfly.
Sing to me the feelings of clouds rolling by.
Sing to me the life in the cherry fields.

Tell me of the sensations felt.
Tell me of the emotions recieved.
Tell me of the dreams dreamed.
Tell me of the treasures discovered.

Invoke in me the words of the Goddess.
Invoke in me the blessings of the light.
Invoke in me the strength of the warriors.
Invoke in me the teachings of the Ancient Ones.

This is one I wrote while on a cruise. It just goes to show you, you may be on vacation but the Muse never is. :)
ODE TO THE SEA
The rise and fall of the waves
Fills my heart with longing.
As I stand on the shore
I know I must return.

My blood fairly sings
as I depart the harbor.
I have been away far too long.
Her siren call has summoned me back.

The gentle movement
of the ship relaxes me
as I stand at the rail and gaze at her depths.

In the rocking of the ship
I feel Her caress.
In the touch of the spray
Her satin kiss.

She has called
and I have returned.
Never again shall I be parted
from my beloved sea.
Another one from Faerie. :) She is a very beautiful poet. I hope you like her work.
AS YOU REMEMBER ME
I know the story
I know the tale
I know the wise, wise words
As they were told to me.

I have heard on high
A love that will not die
In a legend filled with pride
As it was told to me

I have lived a life
I have fought in wars
I have birthed children
As I remembered me

I once loved a man
I once cried for him
I once was so strong
As you remember me.....

This is from a very sweet person from the same group as Faerie. I am honored to be able to place it here.
WINTERS ICICLES
I gaze in amazement
At the icicles hanging from the tree
                             glistening with life

For one brief moment
I am suspended in time
Able to let go of all my strife
By seeing how they dazzle with infinite beauty
      and unknowable wisdom
Of their being able to just be

As I look more deeply
My eyes wonderously see
How the full moon catches them
At just the right angle
     and with just enough light
To give me a new view
Of how beautiful Winter truly can be
By simply letting go of what is untrue
