Munich, Germany
We flew into the Munich airport. We stayed in Munich for two nights, mostly just walking around the city and seeing what there was there. It was a cool city, even though we only saw part of it since we traveled by foot and subway. We saw buildings, markets, churches, people, and even got to visit an internet cafe! Well, now for the pictures...

This is the gothic townhall. It was the first thing we saw getting off the subway in the city. It was huge and really really pretty.

Can you tell I like the townhall a lot?
This is a St. Peter's church right across Marienplatz (the main square where the townhall is).

Munich from the top of St. Peter's tower. The tower topped in green in the middle of the picture is Heiliggeistkirche.

From the tower again.

A view of the town hall from the church tower across the square. This view you can see both the old and new parts of the town hall, and the Glockenspiel.

This is the inside of a walkway between Marienplatz and the courtyard of the townhall.

This is the townhall from inside its courtyard.
We also went up in the tower in the townhall. From there, you can see the tower of St. Peter's, including the walkway we were on previously. Look close and the people are there!

This is a view down into the courtyard of the townhall.

The townhall again, this time you can see the glockenspiel in the biggest tower. If you look up above that to the second squared off walkway, that's where the last two pictures were taken from.

This is just a random street in Munich. Most the buildings in the cities were of that fashion. Yes, the green building is curved along with the street.

Munich was full of street performers, such as people who painted themselves all gray and pretended to be statues, as well as mimes and the like. This is a musical group of oriental music.

We took a double decker bus tour of the city, to see the parts that we wouldn't get to see on foot or on the subway due to distance and time. This was a building we passed on the way.

This was also taken from the bus, of Theatinerkirche St. Kajetan. Kirche means church, by the way.

This is the angel of peace, a gold statue.

This is one of Munich's painted gates, also taken from the bus.

As seen on the quickview page, this is the hotel we stayed in, Hotel Bristol, and the street it was on.

A far away, and then close up of the Palace (can't remember name). It was built by King Ludwig II. It was pouring rain, though, so we didn't stay there long.
Well, that was the city of Munich. We saw a whole lot of stuff that I didn't take pictures of, but that's how things are. You got a billion pictures of the townhall! XD I do have brochures and postcards if you want to come over and see more..
