Some bio-solo-discography:

Per Gessle was born in Halmstad (Sweden) in 1959. His a guitarist and a singer in Roxette. This is him, who writes the most part of all of Roxette songs. He has had a very successful musical career. He played in different groups, and Gyllene Tider (Golden Time) was the most successful one. They were very popular in Sweden in early 80-s and in the whole Scandinavia (among the groups who released their albums in Scandinavia). The group sold more than 1 million of their CDs. (In 1995 they released Greatest Hits album, which name was "Halmstad Pårlor" (Pearls of Halmstad). The album was quite successful.

In 1983 Per released his first solo album almost unlike Gyllene Tider one. In 1984 Gyllene Tider tried to enter the world music arena. They released their album in the USA, under the name of Roxette. But in the next year the group decided to split up, and Per released his second solo album. Neither the first, nor the second one were a success.

Next year Per and Marie were working as Roxette. By the way the even word "Roxette" was taken from the song of Dr.Feelgood and it must have been the name of the song heroine.

In 1997 Per released his third solo album in English. And this time it wasn't a successful one too, as in Sweden the single "Do You Wanna Be My Baby?" and the album "The World According To Gessle" were number 1 (each one) during one week only.
