The first voice(the guy who explained the rules) does know who he is, saying he didn't was a ruse to trick the leaders. He is called "Guide".

Both of the leaders were in the same place choosing their teams at the same time, but the properties of the dimension kept them from seeing or hearing each other.

The second voice(the mastermind behind the "experiment") is called "Overlord", just in case you missed it.
