MERCUTIO DIES IN DISPUTE

By Josh Borow

On Monday during the afternoon in the streets of Verona, Italy, the murder of Mercutio Ebinelio took place. In a raging battle of confusion between Romeo Montague, Tybalt Capulet, and Mercutio Ebinelio, Tybalt ended up slaying Mercutio.

This brawl began when Tybalt said, "I wish to challenge thee, Romeo, for the injuries that thou hast done me." However Romeo refused to fight because he thought he would have been fighting for no real reason. Bystander Benvolio Montague states that, "Romeo pleaded with Tybalt to forgive him for any misfortune he had brought upon him but he would not fight him." After Romeo's refusal Mercutio and Tybalt started to squabble. This squabbling led into a greater fight, which leaded to Mercutio's death.

After the death of Mercutio, one of Romeo's best friends, Romeo was consumed with rage and would not stop until he got revenge. He went after Tybalt in a battle that would determine who would live and who would perish. In the end, Romeo was victorious and Tybalt was dead. Overall the deaths of two lives accomplished nothing.
