My enchanting semester
“Ahh” I sigh in relief, as I wave goodbye to Expository Writing. However this sigh is not a sigh of relief that I have completed my Expos class, it is a sigh that marks the conclusion of my junior year! For too long have I dreamt about walking down the Schreiber halls as a senior, that I cannot resist the desire to explain to you that I am enthralled with contentment to be finished with my junior year. Now back on subject I would like to explicate to you (Ms. G.) how I have truly learned a great deal from your class.
There were many good days, followed by many bad days, followed by many OK days however, nonetheless we always made it work. Some days the class was filled with fun and excitement as, as a class we recalled our childhood memories about peeing in our pants. On the other hand there were many exhausting and vexing days occupied with Regents preparation. But overall, through thick and thin, I learned how to truly write a well-put together, funny, and definitely creative essay. If I were to do the class over, or to give advice to anyone that was about to take the class I would say, “give it your best shot, because you can really come away with a lot of helpful knowledge.” On the whole thanks Ms. G. or soon to be Mrs. Idon’tknowthename. for all the pointers and heads up. If I could give you one heads up it would be, laughing a little or a lottle never hurt anyone, so when in doubt laugh it out. Now of course this advice goes to all my teachers and I know that you are willing to give us kids some chuckle time but, essays in the morning are probably harder then getting out of that comfortable bed that you sleep in.
After taking your class I strongly feel that my writing style and manner has developed in a good way greatly. Although only receiving a B+ on my Fo’ Shizzle essay I do believe that it was the best piece I wrote all year. Throughout this essay I used innovative and highly original themes, as well as what I believed to be a superb analogy. Although this Fo’ Shizzle essay was probably a little hard for you to understand it is probably because it is aimed for a teenage audience. On the other side of the spectrum, my worst piece would have to be nothing. Probably for the first time in my life, I feel proud to say, that I don’t think I wrote one piece this semester that was bad. Although this statement is extremely optimistic I believe it to be true, and that each essay was a solid well organized piece of writing. Look at what you have done to me Ms. G., you’ve in enlightened me. Once again I will say I was delighted to discover the many joys in taking you class, and on a final note, I think that future Expos classes should cover Harry Potter, and Holes.
