Synopsis
Based on the captivating manga comic
book series created by the acclaimed Masamune Shirow (Ghost in
the Shell), Appleseed is a high-octane, action packed race
against time as the future of civilization hangs in the
balance.
After the devastation of World War III, the scattered
governments of the world construct the perfect city - but life
in Olympus is carefully controlled and monitored by Biodroid -
artificially created half-human half-robots. A dedicated band
of terrorists plot to destroy the central computer to restore
freedom to mankind.
Video
The video quality is good, but old. The
colors are damp, and the animation doesn't run as smoothly as
one would hope. I think that the main excuse for a low video
quality for Appleseed is because it was made a long time ago.
Audio
The audio quality is much better then the
video quality. The voice actors speak clearly and at a
moderate pace, and the music is outstanding for the most part.
The sound effects such as explosions sound real instead of
computer generated. The Japanese and English audio are both
great.
Packaging
Appleseed comes in a black DVD case.
The front cover has a artwork piece of the two main characters
(very refreshing to see). The back cover has some stills of
the anime and a brief summary. The extras on Appleseed aren't
amazing but they will keep you interested for a few minutes.
There is a character page and previews for some of Mangas
other works. Personal Opinion
ohayoo!!
