Synopsis
Set in a barbarous world of magic and
mysticism this story contains character designs and story
contributions by the Yoshitaka Amano.
Amon - a young man on a desperate quest to avenge the death
of his mother. When his hunt leads him to the castle of the
Emperor Valhiss, Amon must endure the perils of initiation and
join the ranks of the Imperial army in order to gain an
opportunity to take his revenge... But once within the heart
of the fortified city, Amon unexpectedly encounters the
princess Lichia - the sultry daughter of King Darai Sem. It
seems the Emperor hopes to exchange the princess for a map in
the King's possession. But what is the Emperor's ultimate
goal?
Video
The video quality in Amon Saga is bad
compared to current standards but good compared to the time
that it was made. Most of the pictures have grains and
scratches on them, and the colors are very poor. The dark
colors are either too dark that you cant see what's happening,
or too light. There are also a lot of problems with jaggies.
Audio
The Japanese audio track in Amon Saga is
also very bad. The dialogue is very hard to understand. The
music is very boring and the sound affects sound fake and very
dull. The English audio track isn't any better. It also has a
lot of flaws but I think that it is a bit better then the
Japanese audio track.
Packaging
It comes in a standard black DVD case.
The front cover has a pencil sketch of Amon flying towards you
with his long sword extended. The back cover has some stills
of the anime and a brief summary. The only extras on the DVD
is a small image gallery. This anime has bad audio, video and
the only thing I can say that's good about it is that the box
is nice. This is defiantly not worth the money or even time to
watch it. Personal Opinion
