Stage Directions

Well, this will be a bit difficult for me, since I
can't use graphics...but Stage directions really are
very important to know if you are going to choerograph
a group, or record your dances in a written form
(which I feel is important too, so you don't forget
them).

The stage directions are the same as the person who is
on the stage, facing the audience.

Stage Rear: This is the area of the stage furthist
from the audience and closest to the back drop. This
position can be seen by the audience.

Stage Rear Right: This is a subsection of stage rear,
on the right side toward the rear of the stage.
Again, all directions are from standing on the stage
and facing the audience.

Stage Rear Left: This is a subsection of stage rear,
on the left side toward the rear of the stage. Again,
all directions are from standing on the stage and
facing the audience

Stage Right: The right side of the stage.
Stage Left: The left side of the stage

Stage front: The area of the stage closest to the
audience and furthest from the backdrop.

Stage Front Right: The front, right side of the
stage.
Stage Front Left: the front, left side of the stage.
Stage Center Front: the fount of the stage, in the
middle--that is,where there is equal amounts of stage
to either side of the actor.

Center Stage: The center of the stage.

Backstage: behind the stage & backdrop. The audience
should not be able to see this area.

Wings are located on either side of the stage.
