An Ode to My College People
Click here for the orginal: An Ode to my Seniors
Dedicated to Wachusett Regional High School's Class of 2002, most of whom are now spread across the country at colleges and universities.
I can't believe the time that's gone
Another year has passed
I think you guys would all agree
It's definitely been a blast

We've spent a year without each other
Even enjoyed our time apart
Made new friends, but kept the old
Friends close to heart

Del Donno survived a year at Brown
But he's still our good old Muffin
Even though he left the state
Our late night chats stopped at nothin'

Jill, you've got the most awesome job
We're all so proud of you
You get paid to sell drugs
It makes your mom proud too!

Dan seems to have disappeared
He's working behind the scenes
He's hiding up at Holy Cross
But we don't know what that means

Jessie weathered a year in the city
We hope she did survive
If we didn't have our dear Jessie
Who'd keep the May Party alive?

Jeff has changed a lot this year
The freshman fifteen was lost
He learned to jump out windows
And got away with it, at no cost

Cindy, now that a year has gone
I got to know you well
I'm glad I'll have a familiar face
When we meet up in hell

Little Lindsay survived the year
As a Rocky Firstie Girl
She ruled it up at Mount Holyoke
She'll soon be ruling the world

Lindsey B. chose the best school
She goes to Fitchburg State
I think we all know why her's is the best
Joining her next year will be great!

Andy went and claimed the world
He's ruling Holy Cross
He's got the Amazing dorm and basement
We all know who's the boss

Jenny, don't fret about people leaving
You can visit all the time
And we'll all come back to see you
Don't worry, you'll be just fine!

Adri made quite a name for herself
Playing Frisbee at BU
She can whip that disc like no one's business
No doubt, she'll even whip you!

Sarah went to Washington U
And we all asked, DC or State?
No, silly, Wash U in St Louis,
Where the food is so great!

Hayden lived through a year at Brandeis
And now he's saving lives
But I think it's him that might need saving
Just look at how he drives!

At long last, it's me that gets to join you
I waited and waited and then finally
I graduated, I'm a college people
Here I come, FSC!

Don't forget your oldest friends
They'll be beside you all the way
They may not be there in person
But your friends are a phone call away

So as we go our separate ways
And we say some more goodbyes
Don't forget, after saying "So long!"
You eventually have to say "Hi!"
