Daimond is around the corner... and it looks pretty bad for the Scorpion.  What are the reasons that it looks dismal for the Scorpion in Diamond?  Well, first they changed Yogo towers so now our courtiers work one stronghold and Samurai work the other.  Sadly we don't have a boxable samurai/courtier which would give us a staple personality just to work the strongholds.  I'm not going to go on a rant about our personality base, like so many others, because, quite frankly, I don't think that personalities are our problem, we've got the core of the old Coup military squad (Dozan/Churai, Shidachi/Soto, and Ikawa) plus Aramoro, Asami and Goshiu for the time tested favourites.  No what I'm going to rant about is how crappy our support cards are.
Obviously our "themes" are courtiers and military.  For military we have the old staple of Yogo towers so we run the same way as always; ranged attack followers, weenie samurai and something to provide the force to break through the province.  Problem?  We lost Kolat Master, which worked well towards stealing someone to provide the force, and we lost the ability to use any Scorpion to use Towers, so all those little courtiers and shugenja can't bow Koun any more.
Courtier decks?  The main problem with courtier support for Daimond is that, appearantly, courtier powers worth using require a good personal honour.  So the Crane win.  Stupid Crane.
This leads me to my wishlist.  Kachiko's fan, for Eitaru military decks.  Lies, so we can drop dishonour (although with Kakita Rei I understand why it isn't around).  The Steel Throne, finally enough good political actions that it might see use (again not around because the Crane have big scary dueling courtiers).  Bayushi Shoju inexp., just because he's the only guy really missing from the SCC that I liked (hell he even looks balanced beside Nimuro exp and Koun exp3!).  Finally House of Contracts, Kaeru contracters are nice but only a pale immitation.
