The Fire Escape,
by sung en wang
As I wonder in the shallow I found myself in pain
I worked hard and have a little gain
I alleviate my sorrow in movie marathon
But pressure is still on
My mother grows older as she throws out the
thunderbolt
She talks and talks as she make herself looks old
My pressure is great enough
But she keeps on stacking it stiff
My sister’s shyness is great that it can not be less
She talks to no one but her glass
Every time I walk by the glass exhibit
I broke the glass and broke her spirit
I am trapped; we are all trapped by melancholy
Just hope the fire escape can let us bypass our misery
