The Solar System
| This is my favorite class to
teach, it is all about exploring beyond the Earth! I feel that my fifth
graders really learn a lot from this class and I make sure they have
some fun with the projects.
There will be four projects due in this class. The students should
use internet resources to help them with their research, here are a few
that I recommend:
The Project Subjects:
- The Sun.
- Comets.
- The Moon.
- Students choice of a planet. I encourage the students to pick one
that is of interest to them.
All of the projects should include a one page paper explaining what
the subject is and what its functions are. A model of the subject is to
be constructed, use your imagination for this one! The students will
present their fourth, and final, project to the class during the final
week of school.
