Updates: * 6-8-05 * Last meeting we got things worked out for the Bake Sale, which will be at Michael's Crafts in Crossgates Commons. Some more stuff was worked out for the picnic, but not much that is totally new. Picnic Registration is up to 28 people, but we need more people! I know your all out there! So if anyone is free on 6-11-05, drop by Michaels to help out with the bake sale, or just buy stuff :P Also, everyone please get all your friends to pre-register for the picnic! See you all in July! * 5-18-05 * Whoosh, the meeting on the 15th was super. We have the contract for the Marriott worked out and that will be covered thankfully by Kathie Greenwold. We do plan to hold a bake sale potentially at Michaels Crafts. Erica will be contacting the store to find out if it will be possible, and when we can possibly hold it. We are also planning to organize a Gothic/Horror photo shoot at Oakwood Cemetary for later in the summer. As for picnic related business, you may now sign up for food to bring to the picnic. Also, please, if you intend to submit any art for the Badge Art mini contest, submit it by June 1st. After we finished with the meeting we went out and did photos. The next meeting is on June 5th. * 5-3-05 * May's meeting has been moved to May 15th, due to Mothers Day. Please bring with you any Garage Sale donations you might have, and everyone bring your pics from AB! We will do Anime Boston show and tell! Also, we will be hopefully getting some more nailed down for the picnic, PLEASE PRE-REGISTER TODAY! * 4-4-05 * At sunday's meeting we did some more picnic planning, please visit the picnic website for updates on that event. We also have a date reserved for the Winter formal for next year. It is going to be on January 7th, 2006 at the Marriot in Albany, NY in the Empire Room. There will be more information on ticket prices and everything at a later time. We figured out a place to meet up at Anime Boston too, but have not yet picked a time. You may see the map of the spot here: MAP. We started collecting for the Anime Garage sale, and also had a Costume show and tell time. Then we had some open Con etiquette discussion. Good meeting all around I would say! NEXT MEETING IS ON MAY 8th! (not may 2nd, because we will be at AB). * 3-8-04 * At the meeting on sunday we discussed the events for the picnic and appointed coordinators for different events and such. We will be having an Anime Garage Sale at the picnic and need donations of stuff to sell, contact Jen about donations or helping with the sale. Rachel also brought the info she has gotten from the Marriott and the Desmond about the Winter formal. It was a good meeting, not many people, but oh well... people were sleeping... :P The next meeting will be on April 3rd, and Erica will bring cupcakes!!! * 2-27-05 * Pre-Registration information for the picnic is up on the Picnic site. Click the banner above to visit the site. There is going to be a meeting next sunday at RPI at the usual time from 3pm to 5 pm. I think its safe to assume that we will be discussing the Picnic, and probably the Winter formal at least a little bit. Also we will probably talk a little more about the School Uniform workshop and fundraising. If you would like to donate any old Anime or collectibles to the club bring them to the meeting. * 2-17-05 * We have a date set for the Second Annual Upstate NY Cosplay Picnic! July 9th 2005! It will be held at the Saratoga Spa State Park and will be in the Orenda Pavilion (thats the really big one :D). And I know it is a bit late, but at the meeting on 2-6-05 we discussed preliminary plans for the Winter formal for next year, we have started looking into places to hold it. There was other stuff too, and hopefully notes from that meeting will be up soon... bad DJ... * 1-13-05 * At the meeting on 1-9-05 we discussed the Genericon Panel, Picnic Dates (Please visit the Yahoo Group to vote on dates), Fundraising, and the website. We are planning to print some Club T-Shirts, details will be posted as soon as we know prices and such. There will be another meeting for Genericon Panelists sometime soon. * 1-2-05 * The Next Meeting is going to be on 1-9-05. We will be Planning the Genericon Forum, discussing a date for the Picnic this summer, and feel free to bring whatever costume you are working on to show off your progress! * 12-9-04 * Next Meeting is right now being planned for January 9th, 2005. * 12-7-04 * We had our first meeting last sunday at RPI.
