Wist is the last child of great noble clan that consisted of Yokai's, Ningen's, and Hanyou's. This land was a paradise to Wist's people. Her family consisted of her father Uesugi, mother Kaname, and her brother Nanashi. Her Mother was born into this world with the union of a yokai Fujin named Aki and a ningen dansei named Shuhei. Wist's father was an outsider of the village, but was soon excepted when Kaname chose Uesugi as her mate. Uesugi was a full blooded yokai who came from a noble clan the Kagetora. he was next to rule the northern lands but left to find small peace of tranquility leaving politics and duty of being heir to the northern lands behind. With the union of Uesugi and Kaname two children named Nanashi the eldest son and Wist the youngest daughter where born into this world that hated mix breeding. Wist was a harmonies child who felt the presence of the forest spirit and is in tune with nature itself, she was deemed special in the village for she is a seedling of the forest spirit and was also gifted in seeing any ones past just as her mother can see the future.
The village was peaceful and prosperous and each day was joyful to her and her people, but those peaceful times came at an end when Uesugi�s father came to bring him to his senses and return back and take his place by lord Kagetora�s side. To his dismay he saw that his son Uesugi has disgraced himself by mating with a hanyou the very thing that he despises. Despite his reasoning with his Uesugi, Lord Kagetora had no more to say to his son and ordered the destruction and deaths of this village. Lord Kagetora did not care for his grandchildren if they where to be killed for he did not want his lineage or blood to be tainted by hanyous. Every thing burned and the smell of death was everywhere and only the young child named wist was left standing in front of her grandfather.
Lord Kagetora stared into the child�s eyes to find no fear of her imminent death only sadness in her eyes. With blind rage the lord blinded his granddaughter leaving her to be alone and helpless in this cruel world. He had spoken to hear leaving such harsh words etched in the back of her mind "You have no one else to blame but your mother for bewitching my son and giving birth to such abominations into this world and tainting my bloodline with human filth!"; though wist did not cry for the loss of her sight she was not angry only sadden to speak to him "Though you hate what I am, I am glad that I was able to meet my O jisan for the first time and the last time, Arigatou!" With those words spoken lord Kagetora left the destroyed village to return home only to have the young girls last worlds etched into the back of his mind.
