If you want to use one of my ideas, or one of yours comes close to one of mine, just let me know so I can take it off of here. Also, I may have some beginning teaser story bits to post shortly. In the meantime, just consider these previews of what's to (possibly) come.
A couple years after the manga, Akane goes to visit Nabiki(and to accompany her back to the dojo for a big family get-together dinner), who is working on the 30th floor in a high-rise building in downtown Tokyo (for a bank). Ranma goes along as well. While there, Nabiki and Akane get caught up as hostages in a sophisticated bank heist. Ranma must use his wits, and redheaded alter-ego, to save his fiancee and sister-in-law-to-be, as well as a few of Nabiki's officemates.
However, things don't go smoothly, when the alarm is tripped and the elevators frozen on the ground floor. The burglers are soon onto him after he incapacitates a couple of their number, and a deadly game of cat-and-mouse is initiated. The high-tech thieves are armed with guns and other devices, however. Can Ranma, Akane, and Nabiki save themselves and the other hostages and escape?
There's been several stories where Ranma and/or Akane have been cursed to look like the other, but here's slightly different take...
While on a training trip with Soun, he and Akane arrive at Jusenkyo before Genma and Ranma (or Akane is traveling and training by herself, she ran away because she was upset her father won't train her anymore, and also about mother). Because she can't swim, Akane drowns in an uncursed pool and disappears within, never to emerge.
Now along comes Ranma and Genma, and this time Ranma falls into Akane's pool. Not only does he get her body for a cursed form, but her mind gets shoved into his as well. Akane doesn't remember much, but at first they don't get along too well when each one wants control of the body for themself. They reach a tentative agreement to get along for the moment, until a way to seperate them can be achieved.
How does this affect the marriage arrangement when they arrive at the Tendo Dojo?
And how do the rest of the Tendo's react when they see Akane is still alive?
Due to another adventure of Ranma's, Nabiki winds up dead (Maybe others as well). Nabiki arrives at the pearly gates, but isn't allowed in. The goddess Takahashi(or other goddess) appears to her and tells her she can't come in because her death, and the events leading up to it, are at least partly her own fault. If she wants in, she must return to Earth and do good deeds. The trick is, she'll be dropped back in time to the day when Ranma showed up.
Mostly though, she needs to do her best to bring Ranma and Akane closer together, because of all she's done to them in the past. When they accept the engagement, she will be allowed into heaven. Nabiki figures that will be easy. Except that not all of her ideas go according to plan, and she begins to think this might not be easy as she first thought...
While out on a delivery, Shampoo comes under attack from a mysterious assailant. It turns out to be a girl she left behind in the village, who had always been second-best to Shampoo. Thinking that Shampoo had grown soft in
In the ensuing fight, Shampoo underestimates the training Lo Shun has done, and her leg is injured. Before Lo Shun can deliver the final blow, Akane (coming home from school) sees the fight and intervenes on Shampoo's behalf. Needless to say, this does not amuse Shampoo, to be saved by her rival. Lo Shun is amused however, at this weak outsider girl. Akane is barely able to hold off Lo Shun in a fight, and in the end, ends up retreating along with Shampoo. Lo Shun pursues them, along with her two cronies she brought with her.
Can Shampoo and Akane work together to escape? Or will they end up killing each other and saving Lo Shun the trouble? Will Ranma, Cologne, and the others figure out what is happened and arrive in time to save the girls?
While cleaning up the dojo after the wedding fiasco, Akane falls through a floorboard that was weakened during the fighting the previous day (or possibly cleaning the attic). While there, she discovers a large tome that is locked. Curious, she attempts to pry it open, but fails to budge it. In desperation, she yells at it to open, and it does. What she discovers, is a long lost book of powerful magic spells. Wanting a way to increase her abilites because no one will train her, she begins to study the book. However, the spells are black magic, and draw their power from long dormant Mazoku, which begin to wake up in response to Akane's spellcasting. One of the first to wake up, is Xellos, who was actually imprisoned inside the book. Possible scene I would write:
Xellos: Lina? It's you! After all these years!
Akane: I'm not Lina! My name is Akane!
Xellos: Quite being silly, Lina. Of course it's you! (hugs her) How I missed you!
Akane: (pushes him away and growing angrier) I am not this Lina person! My name is Akane!
Xellos: (blinks and examines her) Hmmm, short-statured, quick temper, small chest... Of course it's you!
Akane: Argh! *WHAM!*
Xellos: (mumbling from the floor) The mallet is a new trick...
Anyway, Xellos eventually recognizes Akane as a descendant of Lina Inverse, and decides to stick around Nerima because of all the fun he can have. In particular, he likes to torment Ranma and Ryoga with their curses, who are less then thrilled, especially since they can't touch him their martial arts.
The danger arises from the various Mazoku who keep appearing, each one stronger than the last, apparently drawn to Akane's spellcasting. When his fact is discovered, will Akane give up her newfound power to seal the Mazoku once more? What will become of Xellos?
In a near-desperate attempt to find and bring back Ifurita, Makoto takes to going through all of the ancient writings and ruins of El Hazard. On one such trip, he finds an ancient armlet that attaches to his right wrist, and for some reason, he never wants to take it off, insisting he needs it. The amount of sleep he gets begins to diminish, as all his focus goes towards finding a way back to Ifurita.
Everybody else begins to get concerned at the level of fanaticism Makoto begins to show for the ancient El-Hazard machinery, except for Nanami, who is having problems of her own. Seems her orginial ability to see through the phantom tribe's illusions is mutating, and now she's starting to see through everything! Can she keep her sanity when she starts seeing through people's clothes, bodies, walls, ceilings, ground, and even the past and future?
But that's not all, Jinnai is beginning to show some unusual transformations as well, becoming a powerful Bugrom. Naturally, he thinks this is will finally allow him the power to beat Makoto once and for all.
As everyone else will soon discover, the reason behind these frightful changes, is the fact the Earthlings have been in El-Hazard for a long enough time, and the Magnificent World is beginning to change them once more. Fearful that his strength may mutate next and accidentily hurt his wife, Fujisawa takes off a trip to find out why this happening and what can be done to stop or control it.
Will he find what he seeks? Is there a purpose behind these changes, something more powerful and sinister that seeks to dominate not only E-Hazard, but Earth itself? And can Ifurita can a way back in time to be of any help?
It's been awhile since I watched the Magnificent World, MW2, and the Alternative world so I may have gotten the names a little wrong, but this fic would take place afterward as a continuation (naturally). When I get close to deciding to write this fic, I'll have to watch the eps again! But this is now added to my list of favorite anime.
It's several years later, after the Sailor Galaxia event, and most of the Senshi have grown apart. Ami is now 24 and in college in another country(maybe USA?), studying for her graduation finals in medicine, when her roommate disappears. This is the latest in a strange series of disppearences, and Ami takes it upon herself to find the answers and her friend, knowing the time she takes off, could cause her to fail her finals because she didn't study enough.
However, when she stumbles across something much more sinister than she imagined, she begins to wonder if even Sailor Mercury is in over her head. She realizes she may need help, but can she get ahold of the other Senshi? And if she is able to, can they get there in time to help?
