Making him one of the most useless opponents in the game! The Snake has some ability to run his estate, but little stomach for a full on fight. He likes the hired help to do most of his dirty work for him. The Pig, whilst not being one of the regions best economists, likes a fight. His greed for (other peoples) gold will soon have him 'trying it on', with even the smallest of siege forces.... The Wolf holds his castle in an iron grip, but it is passion for warfare that makes him one of the most feared opponents. Deliberate and cunning, he will use every military trick and tactic at his disposal to win the day. More than any other lord, Saladin knows how to run the desert economy. He will be in no great rush to lead his forces out into the field, but when he strikes, it will be from a position of power. Cruel and vindictive, the Caliph is skilled at bringing misery to both his own people and to yours. If he can get his tyrannical act together, his underhand methods of fighting will prove a constant thorn in your side. Th s Sultan is more... say...a poet, than a warrior, preferring feasting to the humdrum matters of running his own castle. In short not the sharpest sword in the desert. His people love him however and his soldiers will fight well to defend him. The Lionheart has a reasonable grasp of the regions economy.. for a soldier, but it is in the field of battle where he is in his element. Brave and fearless, his ability to siege a castle is second to none. Emperor Frederick is perhaps the best all round strategist in the desert. There are few weaknesses in his Armour and left alone he will over time become a mighty force. King Phillip seeks glory and prestige from his desert adventure. His reckless insistence on the use of his knights as his main fighting force is more often than not, his undoing. The Wazir is... The Emir is... The Nizar is... The Sheriff... the cruelest lord in the land and easily the most underhand. He will use Arab or Crusader alike, along with every dirty castle defense he can lay his hands on, to further his own self-interest. The Marshal... The Abbot... "This really is the easiest castle I've ever not worked in." "I could just lie down here and sleep forever..." "God I love this castle...zzzzzzzz" "I think your castle is great my lordship, I'm going to explore everywhere. " "I have 1 extra today my lord." "I have 2 extra today my lord." " "I'll not be taking a rest today, M'Lord" "I can.t stop right now, I'm busy." "I don't like the look of those torture engines, I guess I'll get back to work." "Don't worry about me your Lordship, I'm working really hard." "I'm a good worker, aren't I Sire? No need to put me in the stocks." "Work, work, work, that's my new motto." "It's not like to good old days anymore, all I seem to do now is work." "I'm really tired, it feels like I've been working forever." "Please don't make me work any harder, your Lordship" "I heard a rumor that you are throwing people in the dungeon Sire!?" "I'm feeling faint, I can't work much harder." "I was put in the Gibbet once, I will never make the same mistake again." "I'm always working, please can I take a little rest?" "This castle is really oppressive, you know?" "A Bribe, great I love bribes, I do." "Your tax policy is most enlightened lordship." "How about a larger bribe... only joking Sire!!" "The people are very pleased with these bribes, master." "A small bribe, how novel, I like it." "A bribe, so let me get this right, you pay us money?" "You are very kind to be giving us these small handouts, Sire." "I heard you're handing out bribes, Oh I mean Alms to the poor, great." "No taxes! Well that makes a nice change." "This policy of no taxes is the least we could expect." "No taxes is one thing, but what about a small gift, go on... " "No taxes is good taxes, that's my motto." "Extortionate taxes are crippling me, I have very little left for myself."
