INPUT DEVICES
These are devices we use to give the computer information.
Mouse-A mouse is a hand-held pointing device that lets you select and move items on your screen.
Touchpad-A touchpad is a surfacae that is sensitive to pressure an motion. When you move your fingertip across the pad, th pointer on the screen moves in the same direction.
Trackball-A tracball is an upside-down mouse that remains stationary on your desk. You roll the ball with you fingers or palm to move the pointer on the screen.
Keyboard-A keyboard lets you type information onto the screen. Most keyboards have 101 different keys.
Modern- A modem let computers exchange information via phone lines, ISDN kines or cables. You can also connect to the Internet and fax machines.
Scanner- A scanner is a device that reads graphic and text into a computer.
OUTPUT DEVICES
These are ways the computer gives us information.
Printer- A printer produces a paper copy of the information displayed on the screen.
Monitor- The monitor displays text and images on the the screen.
Modem- A modem lets computers exchange information via phone lines or cables. You can connect to the Internet and fax machines.
Speakers-Speakers let you hear sounds generated by the computer
