| From my own experiences with the Kai this is a very loving friendly dog.Here at Mijikai we believe a Kai can fit into most home situations depending on the amount of socialization it has received as a puppy and its own personality.They tend to be very loving and good with children and usually get along well with other animals is raised with them. Some Kai's seem to be more outgoing then others and some of them tend to be more reserved. Because of their primitive ancestry, I can not stress how important socialization is. When not socialized extremely well they become afraid in new situations and will sometimes try to hide from the whole experience. Well socialized Kai's with outgoing personalities are very friendly, love new situations and places and love to meet new people. A Kai can be very active when you are but is very content to settle down and curl up next to you when you decide to relax. Regardless of family type, young ,elderly,single married,families with or without children, the reasons for having a Kai Ken are the same. The Kai's are unique companions.They respond to us and interact with with every member of the family in some way. A Kai will accept us no matter what our faults are without judgement and allow us to be oursleves. The only favor they ask in return is to be loved! A Kai is a very closely bonding and loving animal.The Japanese say the Kai will lay down its life for its owner. Your Kai is most likely to bond with the hand that feeds, walks and plays with him. For that reason it is important that everyone in the family should share in the care of your new Kai puppy, especially if you have children. Frequent handling of your new puppy by all family members will help your Kai become accustomed to being touched rolled over, lifted and carried. This will make him easier to manage in all situations. Your new Kai puppy will need plenty of socialization. Take him with you to the park, the pet store, for rides in cars, everywhere you can. A well socialized Kai Ken is an extremely happy Kai Ken. |
